Adamawa Forestry Officer & Respiratory Doctor - Charcoal In IDP Camp

Hello everyone, Since my last appearance here on this platform, I can tell you that a lot has indeed happened. I wish I could start by telling you right away, but I am here for something else— very urgent. It is about something I have been working on for a while. I’m currently working on a story focused on how a group of internally displaced families in one of Adamawa almost forgotten IDP camps are using charcoal production as a survival strategy. To make this report worth your time, I am going to need your help. I’m seriously looking to connect with a forestry officer or forest ecologist to speak specifically about tree cutting, regeneration, and whether the wood source is sustainable; a Public health doctor or respiratory health specialist to discuss smoke exposure, burns, eye irritation, and long-term health risks for adults and children; and a Humanitarian/displacement expert. If you fit into the above categories or know someone who does, I would greatly appreciate your insights or referrals. Please feel free to reach out via direct message. I should equally use this opportunity to thank Deborah Bodunde for coming through for me the last time I was here. Thank you so much 🙏🏿🤍 Thanks always ❣️
