Something weird is happening with AI right now. A third of the people I know are bracing for the AI apocalypse, another third can't make AI do anything useful shockingly, and the rest haven't even started experimenting.
I sit somewhere in the middle. I’m not completely sold on the total upheaval of every industry, but I'm not jaded enough to ignore the sheer power of these tools.
That’s why I started writing Are We There Yet AI—a site documenting interesting AI projects, stripping away the hype so we can learn together. The first case study? The blog itself, built entirely with AI.
Since my earliest days in my career I've always loved sharing knowledge instead of hoarding it. The current state of AI feels too much like a walled garden. People are treating basic workflows like military grade secrets or magic tricks (which of course you can have but only if you comment "SEND IT" on their post). But real progress doesn't happen in a vacuum. It happens when you pop the hood, share the messy drafts, and figure out together.
If you built something cool, silly, or useful, I want to hear about it, but you need to show and tell.
Hop in!
