Asian Women Leaders in Sustainable Tourism as Role Models
2nd story - Celebrating Women-Led Businesses Shaping Asia’s Sustainable Tourism Industry
The story will feature up to 5-6 women. I prefer to have answers via email since I will write only 200-300 words about each of them.
The angle of this story is around the importance of being a role model for women in tourism. I am looking for women of Asian(!) origin in a leadership role, who are NOT OWNERS. She can be a manager, ranger, tour guide, someone who is an inspiring role model for women.
Read this story before pitching a person: How Women-Led Businesses Shaping Africa’s Sustainable Tourism Industry
Please do not send me replies to the below questions. These are just to give you an idea of what I am looking for.
PLEASE pitch the person first.
The questions I will ask are:
- What challenges did you face as a woman in the industry, and how did you overcome them?
- How can Asian tourism become more inclusive and supportive of women workers and entrepreneurs?
- What do you think is the biggest barrier to more women entering leadership roles in tourism?
- Tell me about an interesting story or proud moment, where you made a direct impact on local community.
Please pitch me by end of January.
