Bahrain Grand Prix Attendees in Sepang - Heat Risk & Shuttle Chaos

Editors: need a comment or a yarn? I’m attending the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia in Sepang where wait times for shuttle buses to leave the circuit are horrendous (2 hour queue, then a 1.5 hr bus ride to meet our $120 taxi 11km away, then another 1.5 hours taxi to our hotel). We are not permitted to bring water in 33 degree heat and 87% humidity and they SOLD OUT of water inside the circuit before 2pm, and not restocked until after 5pm. Dangerous in this heat. Locals say it’s organised by Bahrain which is why it’s so shambolic. With my events hat on, it wouldn’t be that hard to fix this. It’s unacceptable. With the amount of people fainting, it’s dangerous and feels like they don’t care about fans at all. WhatsApp is the best way to reach me
