Black Women’s SRH Access & UK Gonorrhea Vaccine Feature - The Lead

#journorequest I’m working on a feature for The Lead UK about the recent rollout of the world's first gonnorhea vaccine, what it means for groups who have historically been overlooked in SRH care, and why the rollout still risks repeating a familiar pattern of previous STI interventions in the UK, that is, excluding other marginalised groups with high rates. Primarily looking into discussing how young, Black women could once again be overlooked despite being disproportionately affected by STIs. I’d love to hear from: 1. Black women in the UK willing to share their experiences around sexual health access (anonymity and confidentiality will be highly respected). 2. Organisations, healthcare providers, researchers, and advocates that deal with health inequalities and sexual health. If you’d like to contribute or can connect me with someone, please DM me or email [email redacted]. Naz Project London, Dwayne-Wilson Hunt, Benjamin Weil of The Love Tank, would love to chat with you. Ness Cooper if you have a minute or know of any SRH experts in the UK specializing in this area, would love to chat too!
