Young filmmaker visiting Bombay Beach in May looking to connect Hey everyone, I’m a young videomaker from Amsterdam and I’ve been reading a lot about the history of Bombay Beach, which really drew me to the place. In May I’ll be traveling through the US to capture different stories and ways of life, and Bombay Beach is one of the places I’d really like to explore and document. My goal is to show the story of the area in an honest way, focusing on the people, the day to day life, and especially the art and culture that exists there. I’m not coming from a sensational angle, but genuinely to better understand and share the story of the place, also with people back home where I’m from. I also come from a creative background in Amsterdam, so the artistic side of Bombay Beach really interests me as well. I’d love to connect with multiple people who are open to talking, sharing their perspective, or being part of this in some way. I’ve already reached out to Kevin and Dave, and I expect to be in the area around the weekend of May 16 or 17. If anyone here is open to connecting, I’d really love to hear from you.
