Buddhist Practitioners - Death, Attachment & Impermanence
How Buddhism views DEATH
Hey, I'm making a self-portrait documentary about my fear of death titled "THANATOS", meaning death in Greek. This project is deeply personal, and for my research I am collecting as many opinions about what happens when we're gone. The uncertainty, the unknowingness, the suffocating, paralysing fear: I want to capture it all.
I want to speak with someone who practices or believes in Buddhism because I find the religion quite fascinating in its view of death. eg. I read somewhere that a fear of death is considered a result of attachment, ego, and ignorance of impermanence. This is interesting, cause what if I just have a massive ego and I can't imagine letting go of life?!?! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I want to explore all the layers of this religion associated with death.
If you or anyone you know practices or believes, please reach out. I'd love to speak with you about it :)
