Has the internet distorted who we look up to?
Growing up, Bruce Lee looked ordinary but he hid his:
extraordinary.
Because his strength came from his silence.
And he carried his skills in his back pocket.
And I connected with his mysteriousness.
Today it feels like we measure our heroes in followers, likes, and views.
And whoever is loudest wins.
In a second we judge who is worth following and who isn’t.
All based on what’s on the surface.
Do we really know the behind the scenes of fake followers, endless lies, clip farms.
Most of the extraordinary people I know will never go viral.
Coaches. Tradespeople. Neighbours.
Ordinary on the outside, but remarkable up close.
So I'm looking to interview Calgary mentors who are extraordinary in their ordinary.
