Have you noticed a shift in Liturgical shifts in your parish? Do you kneel to receive Eucharist?
My name is Fiona, and I am a religion journalist working on a story about liturgical trends in contemporary Catholic churches. I got the idea after noticing subtle shifts in my own parish over the past three years, for example, the Orans posture during the Our Father seems less common, while more young people appear to bow at the mention of Jesus Christ or the Blessed Mother. I also routinely see a range of postures as people approach the reception of the Eucharist. I’m reaching out to fellow Catholic women to ask whether you’ve noticed similar changes in how Mass is celebrated in your parish, and how you understand or experience them. If you’re open to chatting, please feel free to message me. Thank you and God bless.
