Classical Mythologists - Amaranth Association With Artemis

Is amaranth associated with artemis? I've looked up plants associated with artemis (for a story I'm working on) and this one has come up, but the source the Google ai provided the fandom website for the article about amaranthus, a hunter from Greek mythology but there are no sources, and when I looked him up and there is no mention of him being turned into a amaranth flower on Wikipedia (not that Wikipedia is the best source anyways, but better than fandom) as the fandom article suggested. Theoi states that it was "perhaps originally connected with the goddess through her cult at Amaranthos" but that still isn't too solid of an answer. Sorry if this is a dumb question I don't know much about Greek mythology.
