Filipino Gay Men 18+ in Cities - Father Chose To Be Absent - Research
To Filipino gay men who were raised by their mothers or other family members, what’s your story?
We’re looking for people who are willing to share their experiences of growing up with an absent father. We want to hear your story, not assume what your experience was like.
We’re specifically looking to hear from Filipino gay men who are 18 or older, grew up with a physically absent father since childhood because he chose to be absent, and not because of death or incarceration. We’re also looking for those currently living in a city or urban area and who have been in a romantic relationship for at least a year.
We’re not looking for a specific kind of story. We simply want to understand your experience and hear it from your perspective.
This is for a research study, and we want the stories shared with us to become a form of representation for your experiences. With your permission, we’ll be turning the stories into an illustrative book that uses storytelling and art to represent and preserve these experiences.
If you think you might fit, or if you simply want to know more about the study, you can email us at [email redacted].
We’d genuinely love to hear your story. 💜
