Founders Who Hired Fractional Operators - Systems Collapsing Post-Exit
I get hired to make myself unnecessary
We call it, “Hand Over the Keys.”
Plenty of consultants build systems only they can run. The meeting cadence works while they run the meeting. The dashboard updates while they update it. Then they leave, and everything sags back to how it was.
The test of an operations engagement is what still runs a year after it ends.
So everything I build inside a client's business comes with an exit plan. Documented processes. A named owner for every number. A team that ran the system without me for weeks before I go.
If the machine needs me standing next to it, I haven't finished building the machine.
What in your business only works because one person shows up?
PS. I'm collecting stories from founders who've worked with a fractional operator and watched the system fall apart the day they left. If that's you, message me. I'm writing about it.
