Funeral Service Workers - Toxic Leadership Experiences

Toxic leadership has a way of sticking with people long after the job, the supervisor, or even the profession itself is behind them. People remember the public humiliation. They remember being made to feel incompetent. They remember the comments that chipped away at their confidence and the moments that made them question whether they belonged in funeral service at all. I’m working on an article about toxic leadership in funeral service, and I want to hear more. If you’ve ever worked under a manager, owner, supervisor, or embalmer who made the job harder than it needed to be, send me a message. What happened? What did it do to your confidence? Did it make you think about leaving? Did you leave? If you want to share your story, I’ll keep it anonymous unless you specifically tell me otherwise. I think we need to stop treating these experiences like isolated incidents and start talking about what they do to the people we’re trying so hard to retain. Article coming soon.
