Health Care Providers in ICE Detention for NYT Immigration Report

The Trump administration’s campaign to arrest and deport millions of people is putting a new strain on the medical care provided at the country’s more than 200 immigration detention facilities. The influx of people into detention increasingly includes those with chronic disease, as well as pregnant women and older people. We want to speak with health care providers who work inside immigration detention centers to get a better picture of what care there is like. That includes people who work directly for the federal government or for a private contractor, as well as other medical workers who may have treated detained immigrants in external hospitals or doctors’ offices. Are you a medical provider who has worked in an ICE detention center? Have you treated ICE detainees? Tell us about your experience.
