⚡ So… WATT THE TRUCK? After wrapping up my time at the Smart Energy Council, I've had a little time to think about what comes next. One area I kept coming back to was the work we had started across Smart Transport & E-Mobility. Heavy transport and equipment sit at the intersection of some enormous changes: energy, transport, technology, infrastructure, finance and policy. And I think it's now time for this sector to have its own conversation. So I've launched: WATT THE TRUCK Electrifying Heavy Transport & Equipment. WTT is being built as an independent industry platform bringing together the whole ecosystem: major fleets and logistics operators, SMEs and owner-operators, OEMs, agriculture, mining and equipment, energy and charging, technology, finance and services, government, councils and industry. There'll be podcasts and video, working groups, industry conversations, events and practical outreach. And importantly, we're going to get out to where the industry actually works: depots, freight hubs, saleyards, regional communities and beyond, listening to the real-world barriers, business constraints, concerns and opportunities facing operators. This isn't about pretending electrification works everywhere today... It's about bringing the right people into the conversation to understand where it works, where it doesn't yet, and what needs to happen next. We're just getting started.
