Last year, I worked on Condé Nast Traveller India's wedding planning guide, which we lovingly call the Trend Report. It's a resource for brides and grooms (and their families), but also for the people who actually make the big day happen: planners, photographers, jewellers, hair and makeup teams, stylists, designers, artists, caterers, and so many more.
Here's something most people don't realise. Setting aside the emotional weight of an Indian wedding (and the stunning pictures and videos), the numbers alone are staggering. The Indian wedding industry is valued at roughly $130 billion, making it the country's fourth-largest industry, bigger than aviation. Eight to ten million ceremonies a year. A projected CAGR of 14.3% through 2030. Nearly twice the size of the US wedding market.
And yet, much like F&B, we rarely talk about it as an industry. We talk about it as a moment. It is both, and the people building it deserve to be seen as the professionals they are.
So, here I am. Working on the 2026 guide, and looking to connect with planners, designers, jewellers, photographers, video teams, artists, and yes, brides and grooms too.
Drop me a line at [email redacted] with a little about yourself and what you do. I'd love to hear from you.
