K-12 Teachers & Parents - Literacy Teaching Tests & EdTech

Seeking teacher input for book about literacy I'm a reporter who writes regularly for Bloomberg Businessweek and other magazines, often about the experiences of regular people inside massive systems. I recently wrote a long feature for WIRED about what's going on with reading comprehension, which it seemed to me was getting far less media attention than the decoding side of things. I'm now working on a book for HarperCollins expanding on these topic — I'm looking at how literacy is taught and what forces shape that, the changing role of tests and ed tech, what's working, and what isn't. I'm interested in talking to as many K-12 teachers and parents in as many places as possible, with a wide range of views on all of this.
