McMaster students; how bad has the internship/job hunt been? Hey everyone! I’m working on a piece for the student paper about how chaotic and competitive the job market has become for everyone but especially students and new grads. Between juggling coursework, unpaid internships, and endless job applications, it feels like finding a “meaningful” position is harder than ever. I’m curious about your experience? Whether you’ve sent 100+ applications, worked for free, or had to get creative to get noticed, I’d love to know what lengths people are going to just to get a foot in the door.
