Oahu Residents & TDU Fans - 20th Anniversary Island Reflections

Questions for Test Drive Unlimited retrospective Hi, I'm currently working on a video celebrating the 20th anniversary of Test Drive Unlimited. One of the segments I've prepared is a discussion about recreating the main setting, Oahu, but also a question about your feelings for the game itself. Unfortunately, my questions about the island were ignored in the official Hawaii groups, so I thought I'd try posting here (even though this isn't a group directly dedicated to Hawaii, lol). Therefore, I'm not expecting answers here, just from people who might somehow live in this archipelago or have even been there once, but I'd love to hear from any fan of the game who has something interesting to say about it. Questions about recreating the island in the game: Which location do you think should have appeared in the game but didn't? What were your feelings when you learned (at launch) that Oahu would be in the game in 1:1 scale? What do you think the developers did best and worst? Do you think Oahu was the best choice for a racing game out of all the available islands in Hawaii? Is it theoretically possible to recreate the "Millionaire Challenge" race (which involves circling the island), despite certain limitations, such as the lack of a paved road at Ka'ena Point? Do you think there's a game other than Test Drive Unlimited that better captures the look and feel of the island and Hawaiian culture? Questions about the real island: How do drivers behave on Hawaiian roads? Are accidents common? I read online that Oahu is quite famous for drag racing. Are there other motorsports held on the island? Is there a high incidence of illegal racing? And one final question: If I'm impressed with the virtual version of the island, should I definitely visit it in the future? I would greatly appreciate any comments.
