People Who Lost Close Loved Ones - Personal Grief Stories
LinkedIn Community,
Since my brother passed away unexpectedly in April 2025, I've made a choice to share openly about grief online, even if it makes people uncomfortable.
The reason is that so many people don't know what to say or how to show up for someone who is grieving.
And after launching my Substack, the amount of positive feedback I've received from strangers on the internet, thanking me for being transparent and naming feelings they struggle to express themselves, has motivated me to keep going.
Thanks to a co-authored post with Puck Reeders, PhD, I just hit 555 subscribers π€
Starting tomorrow, I'm beginning to interview people about their grief experiences, and I'm already so moved that my favorite grief account on Instagram said yes.
And I'd love to speak with more people, so if someone in your network:
Has experienced grief and wants to share their story
Works with grieving people (therapist, etc.)
Or simply believes these conversations deserve more space in the world
Please send them my way. The more voices, the better.
