Post-Abortion Complication Survivors in Nigeria - Access Barriers

JOURNO REQUEST According to the World Health Organization, complications from unsafe abortion remain a preventable cause of maternal illness and death worldwide, with low - and middle-income countries bearing the greatest burden. In Nigeria, maternal mortality remains among the highest globally, and unsafe abortion continues to contribute significantly to preventable maternal deaths. Expanding access to timely post-abortion care has consistently been identified by public health experts as a critical intervention for reducing these deaths. Hello guys, I am currently reporting on access to post-abortion care in Nigeria, with a focus on the medical challenges people experience after an abortion and the barriers they face in obtaining timely, quality healthcare. I am looking to speak, confidentially, and with informed consent, with: - Individuals who have experienced post-abortion complications or other health challenges following an abortion. - People who sought or needed post-abortion care but encountered difficulties accessing treatment. Your identity and personal information will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality, and no information will be published without your explicit consent. If you have lived experience or can connect me with someone willing to share their story, please send me a private message. Aldo, If you know someone or anyone suffering from post-abortion complications and needs post-abortion care service, kindly connect me with these persons for legal direction and guidance. ~ By Bankole Taiwo James
