Recent Williams Grad - Transition To Journalism Career

Big post about everything: I graduated! Now I have a B.A. from Williams in English literature and mathematics, yay. From the English department, I received the Shumway Prize (highest-ranked major), the Strauss Prize (best critical thesis), and Highest Honors. From the math department, I received a "Math at Williams"-branded bottle opener and Prof. Thomas Garrity's best wishes for a bright future. And I was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Then I drove to New York, and the next day I started my internship at the Financial Times, where I reported on the travails of "Big Pizza", the Lululemon turnaround effort, and the summer's PE-backed consumer IPOs (spoiler alert: all flops).
