Working on story about 2023 Redwood City Hospital MRI Accident - Seeking Sources
In February of 2023, a nurse got pinned against and MRI by an ICU bed that was magnetically attracted to it. The first that it made local news was eight months later, in October of that year, when KTVU picked it up.
I'm working on a multi-part investigative piece on this accident, and I'm hoping to find additional sources who would be willing to share information on any of the following elements:
Reactions / responses within KP to the immediate accident
Reactions / responses within KP in the longer term to MRI risk-reduction
The injuries and clinical care of the injured nurse
Workplace injury claims / settlements between KP and the nurse
KP employment status of the nurse
KP employment status of the MRI technologist
KP employment status of Redwood City Hospital radiology management
CDPH responses / reactions to the accident
If you have information on any of the above, or any other details that you think are particularly interesting about this accident, I invite you to reply or DM me.
I'm interested in your information whether you want to provide the information 'off the record' (I can't use the information from you directly in the story, but I can use it point me in a direction to get the information from another source, which I can use in the story), 'on background' (I can use the information in the story, but not attribute it to you as the source), or 'fully sourced' (I can use the information in the story and say that it came from you).
Thank you.
