San Francisco Residents - City Conditions & Day-to-Day Life

Looking to hear from SF natives Hi all — I’m a journalist looking into San Francisco lately and wanted to hear from people actually living there. A lot of articles say things are improving (crime, downtown, etc.), but others still paint a pretty bad picture with homelessness and the economy. For those of you in SF: Does it feel like things are getting better, worse, or just different? Has the overall vibe of the city changed recently? What does it actually feel like day-to-day right now? Is it still a dangerous city with people stealing and breaking into cars? Would really appreciate any honest perspectives.
