I'm a relationship counsellor and I'm currently writing a book about stepfamilies and the realities of being part of one. As part of the process, I'm looking to speak with people who are willing to share their lived experiences.
I'm particularly interested in speaking with:
* Stepmothers (past or present)
* Adult stepchildren (aged 18+)
* Step-grandparents
* Fathers whose children have a stepmother
* Mothers whose children have a stepmother following separation or divorce
I'm not looking for perfect families or dramatic stories, just honest experiences. Every perspective helps build a more balanced and realistic picture of stepfamily life.
I'm keen to hear a wide range of experiences, including families who have found a way to make things work, to those still finding their feet, and everything in between.
Conversations will be informal and anything included in the book will be anonymised.
If you'd be happy to have a chat, please send me a private message and we'll take it from there. Your story could help someone else feel seen and understood.
Thanks very much.
