Teachers Using i-Ready Diagnostic & MyPath-Insights Needed
Seeking Teacher POVs on i-Ready for Article
Hi everyone — I’m a journalist working on a piece about the reach and impact of i-Ready in real classrooms, and I’m hoping to hear from current teachers who’ve used it recently. I’m especially interested in experiences in districts that have implemented both the diagnostic assessment and "MyPath" lessons, and how they affect instruction, student engagement, and whether the platform feels helpful, neutral, or burdensome in practice.I know this varies a lot by implementation, school culture, and grade level, so specific details are useful but not required.
If you’re willing, please reply here or DM if that’s more comfortable. I’m happy to keep names and schools confidential.
A few optional prompts if it helps organize your thoughts:
How much time is spent on i-Ready per week, and how does that affect classroom flow and teacher-student dynamics?
Overall impressions of i-Ready's accuracy of assessing student fluency
Student engagement and reactions to the platform
If you’ve used similar platforms, how does i-Ready compare?
Are i-Ready metrics tied to your formal evaluation and/or compensation?
If you prefer to talk by phone or Zoom briefly (off-the-record or background-only), I can arrange that too.
Thanks very much — I really appreciate teachers taking time to share real-world experience. I know how overloaded most of you already are, so any insight is genuinely valued.
John
