UK Married Adults - Quiet-Quitting Marriage & Divorce Decisions

JOURNO REQUEST: 'Quiet quitting' your marriage without your spouse noticing... Hi guys, I'm a freelance writer looking to speak to people who have 'quiet quit' their marriage and are now considering divorce - or have come to terms with staying in a relationship that no longer has passion or love. Just like the trend for 'quiet quitting' at work, this means you used to go 'above and beyond' with your marriage but you no longer have the energy. Perhaps you grew frustrated at not having your needs met and, over time, quietly withdrew from everyday life, or realised your spouse wasn't putting in the same level of energy as you. Perhaps you got tired of giving your all but not receiving anything back, so started putting yourself first instead of them. Or maybe you were on the other side of it, and were blindsided when your spouse ended the relationship after years of chugging along. I'm interested in hearing both male and female perspectives, because we often hear about women carrying the 'mental load' of the household, yet I'm sure there are plenty of men who feel they can't be honest with their emotions in their marriage. This would be for a national UK newspaper, and your story would be very sensitively treated. You would need to be willing to be named and pictured, and ideally I would also be able to give your spouse a right of reply. If you're interested, please drop me a DM or reply under here. And shoutout to the mods for letting me post!
