UT Austin H-1B Visa Holders for Abbott Order Impact Story

Journalist seeking sources on H-1B visa process/ freeze Hello everyone! I’m an Austin journalist working on a story about Gov. Abbott’s order that will pause new H-1B visa petitions, and require universities, like UT, to audit their current H-1B workforce. I’m hoping to speak with UT employees who currently hold H-1B visas about: what the current H-1B process looks like from your perspective, your thoughts on the claim that international workers are “taking advantage” of the system, and how you feel about the possibility that the visa program that brought you here could change or be limited in the future.
