African Diaspora Women Guests for Real Story Podcast

It began with a podcast: African Women In The Diaspora With Ngozi Jason. I started inviting immigrant women of African descent to talk. I wasn't looking for inspiration quotes or polished success stories. I wanted real conversations, and what kept happening surprised me. I kept meeting successful African women with stories that rarely get proper space. Women who’ve built careers, families, businesses, communities, legacies — yet their deeper stories hardly ever get airtime. I’ve always been deeply interested in human nature. I genuinely enjoy meeting people, listening, connecting dots, understanding what shapes us. The podcast gave that curiosity a home, then something else happened. These conversations stopped being “episodes” and started becoming relationships. From those relationships, African Women In The Diaspora (AWID) was born. A space for women like us to talk honestly. Now I get to tell our stories, build community, and create rooms where depth is normal. If you’re an African woman in the diaspora and this feels familiar or you’d love to be a guest on the podcast… DM me “I’m in”. React with a ❤️ if you believe African women’s stories deserve to be heard. #AfricanWomenInTheDiaspora #MindsetMatters
