Barbeque 67 Attendees In Lincolnshire - Oral History Project

As part of our ongoing planning and community consultations to celebrate the legacy of the world’s first music festival, Barbeque 67, at yesterday’s meeting we had a special guest. We were delighted to welcome Nettie, daughter of legendary Cream drummer Ginger Baker. She shared with us extracts from her book and some her father’s account of the original event. Having access to these sources will help to build a detailed and full picture of why a sleepy little market town in Lincolnshire became the epicentre of youth culture and music, albeit for one night only.
