Black K-pop Fans - Video Essay Interviews on Black Influence in K-pop

Music Journalist Looking to Speak with Black K-pop Fans! Hello! My name is Natalia, and I’m a music and culture journalist that specializes in K-pop. I’ve previously interviewed RIIZE, SHINee’s Key and Onew, TWICE’s Chaeyoung, and WOODZ, amongst others! I am currently working on a video essay project titled “The Black Architects: K-pop’s Hidden Visionaries,” in which I’m detailing the impact of Black music and culture on the K-pop industry. I would love to include anecdotes from Black fans, and wanted to see if anyone here would be willing to participate! I am looking for Black K-pop fans that would be interested in being part of this video project. The goal of this project is to highlight the Black creatives that have been instrumental in creating the K-pop sound and look that we know today, and to highlight the experiences of Black K-pop fans. As a Black journalist covering K-pop, this is a topic that I feel very passionately about, and I want to platform these creatives as a means of appreciating the work they’ve put in throughout their careers.
