Canadians Avoiding U.S. Travel - Trade War Impact On Plans
REPORTER REQUEST: Looking for Canadians avoiding travel to the U.S. for a story for The Associated Press.
Are you a Canadian who has decided to avoid or boycott travel to the United States? Maybe you've canceled a family vacation, changed your plans for a weekend trip or business conference, or, if you're a “snowbird,” decided not to head south this winter.
I’m looking to speak with Canadians about how the latest escalation in the U.S.-Canada trade war is affecting their travel decisions, particularly after the U.S. began imposing new tariffs on roughly $20 billion worth of Canadian goods, with Canada announcing retaliatory tariffs in response.
If you've changed your travel plans because of the trade tensions — or if you're still planning to visit the U.S. despite them — I'd like to hear from you. Please DM me or email me at [email redacted] so we can set a time to chat on the phone. Thank you!
