Canadians Facing High Gas Prices - Coping Strategies & Advice

Crowd-source request: I'll be on CBC's Cross Country Checkup this Sunday, March 22nd. The question for callers is: How are high gas prices affecting you? What changes have you made to deal with the high cost of living? I'm going to be asked for advice on how to overcome the high cost of living. I have some thoughts ;) I'd love some of yours. (You know the saying, "We are all in the same storm, but not the same boat.". So I want to acknowledge that this question is dependent on a whole host of other variables. Income-level, debts, job security, life stage etc. For some, an answer would be about cutting back on take-out food, for others, where there is nothing left to cut, it would be visiting the food bank.)
