Employees With Disabilities - Return-to-Office Accessibility Impact
SOURCE CALLOUT: I’m still looking to speak with people with disabilities who have been affected by return-to-office (RTO) mandates for an article I’m writing for The Globe and Mail's careers section.
If you have a disability and your employer has required you to return to the office after working remotely or hybrid, I’d especially like to hear from you.
Maybe remote work made your job more accessible. Maybe returning to the office introduced barriers you didn’t have at home. Maybe you’ve had to request remote or hybrid work as an accommodation — or faced challenges getting that accommodation approved. Or perhaps an RTO mandate has affected whether you stayed in a job or pursued a particular opportunity.
Above all, I’m interested in hearing about your experience and how RTO policies are affecting accessibility at work.
If this sounds like you and you’re open to sharing your experience, please send me a DM, comment below or email me ([email redacted]). And if you know someone who might be interested in speaking with me, I’d greatly appreciate you sharing this post with them.
