For most of my career, work came with a title, an office, and someone else deciding what came next. Building my own business has changed that. In this edition of Beyond the Headlines, I'm writing about what nobody quite prepares you for when you go out on your own - the freedom, but also the invoices nobody chases but you, the boundaries you have to learn to set, the strange validation of being chosen for you, not the name beneath you.
