Guest Author Needed - Corporate Sustainability & Diverse Leaders

This week CSO Futures was meant to publish a guest article on why corporate sustainability strategies need diverse leaders - particularly women of colour in leadership positions. This topic is very dear to the guest author's heart, which is why they enthusiastically accepted the assignment around six weeks ago. Today, they backed out, because they are *scared* that the article might put them and their family at risk in the current US political context. This is not simply a 'DEI backlash': it is the erosion of democracy, freedom of expression and the rule of law, with real consequences for people who speak up. While deciding that keeping a low profile is the safest option for them at this time, the person has expressed hope that more leaders will be able to speak with clarity and courage.
