Heirs Who Inherited Stocks They Don't Support - Aligning Investments
I'm working on a story for Barron's on what happens when people inherit portfolios built by older investors with investments they don't believe in. Plenty of data shows younger generations are moving away from stocks/bonds and want investments to align with their values. They also have more investing opportunities than previous generations. Have you inherited stocks in companies you don't support, or types of assets that you'd like to swap for others? What did you do? Have you not acted yet because you're unsure what to do? I'd love to chat!
For now, I'm specifically looking to speak with people with this experience (not companies or advisors, unless an advisor can share a specific situation in which they helped a client navigate this). Drop a comment!
