Hospitality & Real Estate Businesses in Cyprus - Using AI Agents

From August 2, any AI agent that talks to a customer, a chatbot, a voice assistant, or a WhatsApp bot has to say clearly that it's AI. No exceptions for being a small market like Cyprus. Being part of the EU means EU rules apply here too, including the AI Act. What struck me most while working on this piece with Kyriaki Parmakki was an open question - how many hospitality or real estate businesses in Cyprus are using these AI agents right now? There's no research on it, no number anyone can point to. But if you know such - let me know. It would be interesting to dive in. Maybe it can show the real size of AI agents market in Cyprus. Secondly, it would help with the regulation conversation itself, because once businesses can see how many of them are actually affected. Businesses can start organizing around what future rules should look like. Together, instead of each business finding out alone. More and more routine work is being handled by AI every year. The businesses that understand the scale of that shift early - but they get regulated. Thank you to Kyriaki Parmakki essere.ai for walking through what this actually means for Cypriot businesses, and to everyone who read, shared or pushed back on this piece.
