Calling for story inputs - Indian beauty and personal care brands for the upcoming French Press Global issue.
I'm working on a piece about sustainability in Indian beauty, and I'm looking for brands doing it through a specific, working mechanism rather than a label.
What I'm interested in:
1. Take-back and refill systems, including how many empties actually come back
2. Third-party certification: B Corp, WFTO fair trade, COSMOS/Ecocert/BDIH, FSC- with scope and certificate details
3. Packaging innovation, recycled content, mono-material or genuinely compostable formats
4. Supply chain work: fair-traded inputs, producer companies, direct farm or artisan sourcing
5. Upcycled or waste-derived ingredients
6. EPR compliance and what the brand is doing beyond the statutory minimum
One request: please send documentation alongside the claim. A certificate number, a registry link, an audited figure, a stated baseline and methodology.
The story is built around what a reader can independently verify, so unsupported numbers won't make it in and that's the point of the piece, not a hurdle I'm putting up.
Brands of any size welcome. Small and unfunded is completely fine; a working mechanism matters more than scale.
