Hi everyone, I'm sure by now you've come across a post or two about the Beckham family drama. When I first read Brooklyn's side of the tale, the first thing that came to my mind was how the alleged treatment Nicola Peltz (his wife) went through was no different than the reality many Indian women face on a regular basis. Stories of daughters-in-law being ill-treated are dime a dozen, unfortunately. As such, Brooklyn taking a stand for his wife is a step towards positive masculinity, especially in a society that talks about red flags so often. I'm exploring a piece that highlights such positive experiences, in an attempt to understand how the youth is rewriting traditional rules and breaking generational cycles of abuse.
