Indian Talent Acquisition Leaders - Biggest Hiring Pain Point

I spent five years placing C-suite executives before I wrote a single word about AI. In that decade, I sat across from maybe two hundred hiring managers. Different industries, different cities, wildly different budgets. They all asked me the same two questions. "How do I find better candidates faster?" And then, quieter, usually near the end of the conversation: "How do I stop losing the good ones?" Nobody ever asked me which software to buy. That gap is what I keep thinking about now. Because the AI conversation in Indian hiring has become almost entirely about tools — which platform, which integration, which vendor. And the actual questions people have are about outcomes they can't get to. Here's what I've come to believe after building automation workflows for Indian HR teams this year: The teams getting real results aren't the ones with the biggest stack. They're the ones who picked one broken thing and fixed it properly. Not JD writing and screening and sourcing and onboarding, all at once, in one quarter. One thing. Done well enough that people actually use it in month three. The ones who bought five tools in January are, almost without exception, back to doing it manually by June. The tools are still being paid for. Nobody opens them. I don't think that's a technology problem. I think it's a sequencing problem, and it's the least discussed thing in this entire category. If you run hiring for an Indian team — what's the one part of your process that's still genuinely broken? Not the one a vendor told you was broken. The one that actually costs you sleep. I'm asking because I'm writing about this next, and I'd rather write about what's real. #IndianStartups #TalentAcquisition #HRTech
