International Students Belgium - Non-Binary IDs Not Recognised

Oproep: Voor een lopend journalistiek onderzoek ben ik, samen met twee andere onderzoeksjournalisten, op zoek naar internationale studenten die in België wonen of hebben gewoond en die in hun land van herkomst officieel een non-binaire genderregistratie hebben gekregen. We onderzoeken situaties waarbij die registratie in België administratief niet erkend kan worden. Er zijn aanwijzingen dat dit bijvoorbeeld voorkomt bij studenten uit Duitsland, waar een non-binaire registratie wél mogelijk is. Alvast bedankt! * English version: For an ongoing investigative journalism project, we (three investigative journalists) are looking to speak with international students who currently live or have lived in Belgium and who have obtained an official non-binary gender registration in their country of origin. We are investigating situations in which these registrations cannot be administratively recognised in Belgium. There are indications that this affects, for example, students from Germany, where non-binary registration is legally possible.
