Melbourne Artists & Performers - Live Radio Interviews 9-12pm

I'll be doing a temporary takeover of Smart Arts on 3RRR (Triple R Broadcasters Ltd) tomorrow, or as most people would understand it, temporarily filling in for fabulous permanent host Richard Watts. I'm a feature writer, so I usually get to do long and meandering interviews from which I can cherry pick the best quotes and then spends days writing a story that reflects all the nuances of the conversation, plus detailed research and backstory. So, it's a bit terrifying prepping for six live-to-air interviews where anything can happen and I don't have the luxury to wait for the story to reveal itself. On the other hand, it's very good for flexing my thinking-on-my-feet muscles. More importantly, it's such a pleasure and a privilege to interview such a wide range of performers and artists about their work and get an insight into the richness and diversity that is Melbourne's arts culture.
