NYC South Asian Residents & Organisers - Indian Festivals Post-Mamdani

In my next story for TOI, I’m looking at how Indian festivals in New York have grown more visible and elaborate in the wake of Mamdani’s election. I’m exploring how community-led Navaratri, Eid and Diwali celebrations are moving beyond diaspora circles to become part of the city’s wider cultural life.
