Hello! I’m back from maternity leave, and I’m returning to Business Insider with a new title: Executive Editor of Life (ie lifestyle). I'll continue to oversee all health coverage and report on that beat myself, which has been my focus for over a decade. But my remit is expanding: I'll now be managing coverage across lifestyle, including parenting and personal essays, with a focus on translating our day-to-day journalism into video and big-picture analysis. I've spent more than 10 years covering health, science, wellness, and culture. Perhaps unsurprisingly, having a baby has only deepened my interest in working on these stories at BI. The stories we tell about how people live are often the clearest expression of where business, technology, money, and culture are headed next. I’m excited to be back. There's a lot to cover! And if you work in any of these areas — or have ideas, trends, or stories you think are worth paying attention to — I'd love to hear from you. Heads up: between a new role and a new baby, I may be slower to respond than usual.
