ROV Pilots in Germany & Austria - Murky Water Visibility Tips

Looking for ROV pilots in Germany and Austria: how do you deal with murky water? Hi everyone, I’m Kenny from Germany. I run a small German-language magazine and forum about underwater drones (ROVs) and I’m working on a practical guide about the most annoying topic of all: visibility in murky water. In our lakes and ponds it’s often over after half a meter, and more light just makes backscatter worse. I’ve read the theory. What I’m after now is real-world experience: What did you change on your setup (camera, lights, light position, tether, settings) that actually helped? Is there anything that improves the live video feed while you’re driving, rather than editing afterwards? What did you try that made no difference at all? I’m also looking for ROV pilots in Germany and Austria. If you operate in our lakes, quarries or rivers, I’d love to hear from you and would be happy to have you as a named contributor to the guide, if you want that. Any tips are very welcome, and before/after footage would be gold. Thanks! Kenny
