Rural College Faculty Interviews on Career Paths & Rural Higher Ed

Faculty colleagues at rural-serving institutions — I’d love to hear from you! I’m working on a book entitled "Flyover Faculty: How Professors in Rural Communities Enrich Our Nation and Strengthen Higher Education." I am looking to interview faculty (any rank/track) at community colleges, regional comprehensives, private institutions, land-grant institutions, tribal colleges and universities, rural flagship campuses, and other rural-serving institutions of higher education. Interviews are one-time (45–60 min on Zoom), voluntary, and focused on career paths, rewards/challenges of rural faculty life, and perspectives on rural higher ed. This research has been reviewed and approved by the University of North Dakota Institutional Review Board (IRB). All participants will receive an informed consent form prior to the interview. Interested? Please contact me at [email redacted] for details.
