Scientist Volunteers for Global Profile Series in Nature

Are you a scientist who enjoys work but needs a little extra fulfillment? And finds it in practical voluntary/charitable work? I'm writing a series of profiles for Nature Magazine about this after meeting an inspiring surgeon and #researcher who mentors surgical residents around the world, manages research/innovations projects, and does clinical work for a medical humanitarian NGO. My editor David Payne liked the idea so much he asked me to find a further three examples - not necessarily someone who sits on a charity board as an advisor but who works more practically. I need a global spread so please do get in touch, ideally if the philanthropic cause you volunteer for has nothing to do with your scientific research/job. Or do you represent a charity where a scientist does exceptional work for you in their spare time, and you can put me in touch? Please repost for wider dissemination.
