Great conversation with Jessie Lucci and Lucas McCurdy Senior Living Fan 📣 on The Signal podcast's first episode! Lucas approached me with an idea he had been marinating on... a podcast where the discussion would focus on technology in our industry. AI conversations are happening everywhere, but there wasn't much focused on our senior housing. I was hesitant at first, because I don't really view myself as an AI expert. I am curious about it, I want to leverage it in my personal life and business, and I have enjoyed learning about it and experimenting with it. I'm approaching this podcast with the goal of learning in public and sharing my experiences. I want to speak with people who are experimenting, testing, and building with AI and learn from them - with you. AI is prominent in the technology of daily living for most of the planet. ChatGPT and Google's Gemini each have 1B+ MAUs and Meta has engrained AI into its products which are used by 1/4 of the planet. NIC MAP ran a survey recently where respondents confirmed that AI is heavily used at work. 86% of respondents use it for work and 79% of them use it daily. This technology is moving fast.
