Taiwan Residents - Spiritual Pilgrimage & Temple Life

Though my departure from travel writing was only meant as a hiatus, the universe - and Covid, which led me on a radical career shift from travel writing to social services - had other plans. But the road calls me back, as I always suspected it would. In a few days I'll be heading back to Taiwan to work on another book for Things Asian Press called Taiwan Pilgrimage. The synopsis? "Aging travel writer returns to Taiwan on a journey of spiritual revitalization." I'll be visiting temples, chatting spirituality with locals, and seeking meaning, hopefully with a side of much-needed humor in these increasingly tumultuous times.
